[질문]gdesklet...살려주세요 제발...

휴~
지금 gdesklets를 깔고, 몇 시간째 삽질 중입니다.
사용하는 시스템은 레드헷 9에 커널 버전은 2.6.4이구요.

gdesklets0.30pre버전을 설치했습니다.
물론 업데이트 해야 할 패키지들은 모두 업데이트를 해 주었습니다.

그래서 한텀에서 'gdesklets' 라는 명령어를 치니까 다음과 같은 메세지가 나옵니다.

Usage: gdesklets [option] <command> [arguments...]

<command>: open <files> (Opens the given display files)
start (Runs the gDesklets daemon)
stop (Stops the gDesklets daemon)
restart (Restarts the gDesklets daemon)
profile <profile> (Switches to the given profile)
profile (Shows the current and the available profiles)
slay (Kills the daemon -- use in emergency)
about (Prints information about gDesklets)
version (Prints gDesklets version)
help (Displays this text)

[option]: --translucent (Enables translucency on the freedesktop.org
XServer)

그래서 먼저 명령행에서 'gdesklets start'라고 쳐주니까 '#'표시가 갔다왔다 몇 번 하더니, 아무런 메세지 없이 그냥 프롬프트로 떨어지더군요.
그래서 ps waux 해보면,
python /usr/local/share/gdesklets/gdesklets-daemon
라는 프로세스가 떠있습니다.

이 상태에서 psi-sensor의 'CPU-0.2.0'에 들어가서 './Install_CPU_Sensor.bin'을 실행시켜주시까 '~/.gdesklets/Sensors/CPU/__init__.py'가 생겼습니다.
다시 psi-display디렉토리로 옮겨서 gdesklets open cpuinfo.display라고 쳐주니까 아무런 반응도 없이 그냥 그대로 있습니다.

kldp나 linux-sarang.net에서 gdesklet에 관한 질답을 몇 개 보긴 했는데, 그대로 따라 해도 전혀 되질 않습니다.
아마 버전이 달라서 그러지 않나 싶습니다.

kldp에는 보니까, gdesklet가 데몬으로 실행되는게 아니기 때문에 그냥 gdesklet <display file>하면 된다고도 하고, /usr/local/share/gdesklet/Display/에 display파일을 갖다 놓고, /usr/local/share/gdesklets/Display에 가서 해당 display파일을 실행시켜야 된다는 분도 있고, 그냥 아무데나서 실행시키면 된다는 분도 있던데, 저는 모든 것을 다 따라 해봐도 당췌, 전혀 되질 않습니다.

어떻게 해야 할까요?????

꼭 좀 도와주세요....부탁입니다.....

음... 일단은 시계나 날씨에 관련된 display를 실행시켜보는건 어떨까요?
그리고 실행시키고나면 다른창에 가려서 보이지 않을 수도 있지만 마우스에
해당 display가 달려있습니다. 원하는 위치로 마우스를 이동한 후에 왼쪽버튼을
살짝 눌러보세요.
에러가 발생하지 않는것으로 보면 실행된것은 분명한데 좀 이상하게 보이는 군요...

0.3 버전부터 데몬형식으로 스타일을 바꾸었나보군요.
아무래도 아직 새로운 버전이 나온지가 얼마 안되었고 해서..
관련 정보가 별로 없겠다 싶군요.
옛날 버전 같으면..
보통 .bin 파일로 센서를 설치한다면..
~/.gdesklets/Sensors/foo/ 위치에 .display 파일이 생깁니다.

그리고..
gdesklets-data라는 패키지를 깔면.. /usr/local/share/gdesklet/Displays/ 디렉토리가 생깁니다.
대다수의 센서들을 바로 실행시킬 수 있도록 모아놓은 놈이죠.
하드가 넉넉하시면.. 위 패키지 설치만으로 따로 센서찾아 받고.. 깔고.. 안해도 될겁니다.

psi시리즈는 Theme도 함께 설치해주어야 하던데...
gdesklets 홈페이지에서 찾아보시면 있습니다.
설치 방법은 같이 동봉된 화일을 읽어보시면 됩니다.
