갑자기 콘솔에서 startx가 안되네요~

잘된다가 왜 갑자기 이런지 모르겠네요.

(ww) Radeon : no matching Device Section for instance ( BusId PCI:1:0:1) found
/root/.Xclients : line 8 : exec /root/.Xclients-default : cannot excute : 깨진한글 로어쩌구저쩌구~~~ -_-

이렇게 나오네요. 런레벨 5로는 물론 x윈도 뜨고요.
3일 때만 이러네요.
그럼 답변 부탁 드립니다. 아~ 오늘도 밤새네요~

원래 런레벨 3에선 startx가 안 되는게 정상입니다. 런레벨 5에서만 가능하도록 해 놓았습니다.

특이하게 런레벨 3으로 하셨네요... 아무렴 어떻습니까. 되는 게 중요하죠. :)
그나저나 런레벨 5에서는 잘 된다면서요? 그렇다면 rc 스크립트에서 3과 5는 어떤 차이가 나는지부터 확인해 보시는 게 빠를 겁니다.
우선 /etc/inittab을 에디터로 열어서 3과 5에 차이가 나는 게 뭔지를 알아본 후에 /etc/rc3.d 와 /etc/rc5.d 두 디렉토리의 차이를 조사해 보세요. 런레벨 5에선 뭔가 해 주었는데 3에선 안 해 주는 게 있으니 에러가 나겠죠.

그렇군요... 제가 예전에 레드햇 사용할 때엔 3은 콘솔로, 5는 X로 사용했습니다. 그 이후로는 런레벨이 몇인지도 확인도 안 하고 console만 사용하고 있어서 계속 그런 줄 알았지 뭡니까.
지금 확인해 보니 전(Debian) 런레벨 2로 돌아가고 있네요. 그동안 많은 변화가 있었나 봅니다. =)

Radeon드라이버 모듈이 올라가 있지 않아서 그런것 같네요.. 이미 해결 하셨을듯 -_-

.Xclients 파일의 해당 라인에 표시되는 항목을 #으로 추석처리 하시지요.

직접 만드신 파일이 아니라면 그 파일은 실행하지 않아도 될 듯 합니다.

~/.Xclients 파일을 편집셔야 할 것 같군요.

8번째 라인에서

exec %실행될 데스크탑이나 윈도우 매니저%

로 변경하세요.

예를들어 gnome을 사용중이시면

exec gnome-session

으로 변경하시면 됩니다.

~/.Xclients 파일을 올려주시면 더 도움을 드릴 수 있습니다.
