리눅스 log 명령어를 아시는 분 계신가요?

리눅스 log 명령어를 아시는 분 계신가요?

스트립트 안에 log명령이 있는데...
인터넷에서도 못 찾겠습니다.

PCMCIA에서 CF카드를 serial로 설정하는 부분입니다만,
/etc/pcmcia/serial 파일의 내용중에

cd /dev ; log ./MAKEDEV $DEVICE

부분이 있는데 이 log 명령을 구할 수가 없습니다.

이 명령에 대해 아시는 분의 조언을 구합니다.
