    개발자 고민상담실

    이번 하반기에 취업 준비를 해서 대기업 IT 계열사 Software Engineering 직군과 중견기업 R&D 직군에 현재 합격한 상태입니다. 배부른 고민이라고 하실 수 있겠지만 어디를 가야할 지 고민 중인데 다른 분들의 의견을 좀 듣고자 합니다.

    우선 저의 관심 분야는 AI 연구이고 특히 NLP에 관심이 많습니다. 졸업 프로젝트도 관련 주제로 진행했고 연구 인턴도 한 경험이 있습니다. 그래서 회사를 지원할 때 최대한 이쪽 분야를 하는 곳으로 지원을 했구요.

    중견기업 같은 경우는 직접 임원분과 면담도 했고 처우에 대해서도 다 얘기를 끝낸 상태입니다. 다행히 학점 관리를 잘 해서 제가 원하는 AI 연구직으로 배치해주겠다고 했고 연봉도 대기업 수준으로 꽤 높게 받습니다. 다만 회사 자체가 중견이고 워라밸도 보장 못 받는다는 소리도 많이 있는데다가 꽤 잘 나가고는 있지만 아직까진 크게 발전한 회사는 아니라고 생각해서 회사 자체가 얼마나 발전 가능성이 있을지에 대해선 솔직히 의문입니다. 저 스스로 공부도 많이 하고 연구 역량도 많이 쌓을 수 있을 것이라고 생각해서 지원한거긴 하지만요.
