APM 설치 후 X윈도우가 안떠요;;

요즘 래드헷 9을 배우고 있는데요.
얼마전 APM설치를 한 후에 startx로 X윈도우 띄울 때 오류 나면서 안되네요.

(gnome-session:xxxx) : GLib-GObject-QARNING **: specified class size for type 'PangoXftFontMap' is smaller than the parent type's 'PangoFontMap' class size

waiting for X server to shut down

이런 메시지가 뜨면서 안되네요.

어떤 분은 gd 때문일거라는 말씀도 해주시긴 했는데, 해결책은 모르신다고 하시고....

구글에 검색해봐도 해답을 못찾아서 여기에 질문 올려봅니다.

특별한 목적과 이유가 없다면 서버로 공부하신다고 해도 CentOS나 데비안과 같은 최신형 배포판을 사용하는 것을 추천합니다.

에러 메시지 자체는 Pango 라이브러리 오류 같은데, 레드햇 9에 있는 버전과 (컴파일했다면) 컴파일하신 버전이 일치하지 않아서 그렇습니다. 최신형 배포판을 쓰면 스트레스를 줄일 수 있습니다.

현재 직업학교에서 배우고 있는 중인데 레드햇9으로 실습하고 있거든요.

근데 제 컴이 저렇게 되서;;;

가르치시는 선생님께서도 아직 해결책을 못찾으셔서요....부득이하게 이렇게 되었습니다.
ㅠ
정녕 아시는 분이 없으시단.......ㅠ.ㅠ
