red hat8.0에서 acpi기능 활성화시키기

안녕하세요.
레드 햇 8.0을 깔았습니다. 보드는 아수스 p4pe이고 인텔 845pe칩셋이 장착된 보드입니다.

리눅스를 종료시키면 power down이라는 마지막 메세지 이후에 컴퓨터가 자동으로 꺼지지 않습니다.

자동으로 꺼지게 하는 방법을 알고 싶습니다.

저는 현재 gnome desktop을 사용하고 있습니다.
어디서 어떻게 해야 커널을 컴파일 할 수 있는지요.

이렇게 몇번을 확인했지만 안되는군요.
혹시 커널 파라미터를 넘겨야 하나요?

저같은 경우는 apm 모듈만 올리니깐 되더군여.. ^^;

아래와 같이 컴파일 했더니 되더군요.
RedHat Kernel 에서 했던것과 같습니다.
Kernel Version 은 2.4.20 입니다.

General setup
[*]    Power Management support
[*]        Advanced Power Management support
[*]            Make CPU Idle calls when idle
[*]            RTC stores time in GMT
