SNMP 관련/ 이것이 가능한지요...

안녕하십니까.

net-snmp를 이용해서 mib,oid를 추가하고 있습니다.

구현 기능은 ping인데요.

manager 에서 agent에게 ipaddr를 주면

agent는 제3자에게 ping을 날리고 이를 주기적으로 manager에게 보고를 해야합니다.

(주기는 따로 설정해 줍니다. "초"단위로)

그런데, 여기서 "주기적" 으로 agent에서 manager에게 보내 주는데 있어서

trap을 사용해야 구현이 가능한 방법인지요. 아니면 trap없이 구현이 가능한지 알고 싶습니다.

고수님들의 고견 부탁드립니다.

요점이 약간 흐려졌군요.

요는 Agent에서 ping을 제 3자에게 지속적으로 날릴 수 있는가 입니다.

말씀하신 설계는 가능하구요,
manager 요청없이 agent에서 결과를 보내려면 trap을 이용하는 수밖에 없지요.
아니면 agent에는 로그만 쭈욱 담아놨다가,
manager가 주기적으로 get이나 get-next로 긁어오는 방법도 있겠구요.
둘다 장단점이 있는데요, 기본적으로 snmp는 agent를 가볍게 만드는데
주안점을 둔 프로토콜이란것만 염두에 두시면 될겁니다.
(반대로 manager를 가볍게 만드는건 cmip 이라는 건데, 많이는 안쓰이는 것 같죠?)
