[질문] 스왑파티션 최대크기에 관한 질문입니다.

서스팬드 2 디스크(hibernation)에 관한 글들을 읽다가

를 찾았는데, hibernation에 관련된 말이 나와있네요..

RTFM의 의미가 가슴을 찌릅니다. ㅠㅠ

윈도우s에서는 노트북(2G RAM)이든 데스크탑(4G RAM)이든 hibernation을 애용하는데,

리눅스에서는 평소 스왑파티션 잡아줄 생각을 하지도 않고 깔아 쓰다가

막연히 '음, 안되네' 하고 해결방법을 모색해볼 생각조차 하지 않은 제 자신이 무척 부끄러워집니다.

여기서 엉뚱한 질문...

아직까지 스왑파티션 최대크기가 2g인가요?

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1까지는 2G 이상을 바랄 경우 여러 파티션을 써야했지만 3.0부터는 괜찮다고 합니다.

RHEL 3.0 발표일이 2003/10/22이니 지금은 괜찮지 않을까요?
