[완료] vga= 는 되고 video= 는 안돼요

안녕하세요. 아무것도 모르는 리눅스 초보입니다.
gentoo 2007.0 amd64 로 설치 하고
gentoo-sources 2.6.21 커널을 사용합니다.

커널 컴파일 옵션중 프레임 버퍼에 관한 내용은 다음과 같고요

아 컴퓨터는 ati ixp sb400 (이게 메인보드인지...) 에 radeon xpress 200m 환경입니다.

이 상태에서 부팅시 옵션으로 vga=0x318 이걸 주면
다음과 같은 상황으로 부팅이 됩니다.

# dmesg|grep fb

하지만 vga 옵션을 없애고 video=vesafb:1024x768-24@76 이 옵션을 주면
일반 텍스트 모드로 부팅이 되는데요 (fb0 장치가 생기지 않고 낮은 해상도로)
원래 이게 정상적인 작동인가요?

사실 원래 해보려던건 radeonfb 를 사용하는거였는데요
검색해보니 200m 이 호환성이 안좋은것 같아 원래 안되는가보다 생각하지만....
video=vesafb 와 video=radeonfb 에서 프레임 버퍼를 사용하지 못하는게
정상인가요?

드라이버를 그냥 vesafb로 하시고 옵션을 vesafb-tng 형식으로 넘기시면 곤란하지요..

드라이버 타입을 vesafb-tng로 하시면 video=vesafb:[:num:]x[:num:]-[:num:]@[:num:] 옵션 형식이 잘 먹힐껍니다. gentoo-sources를 쓰시면 일단 vesafb-tng를 사용하는 센스를..

X를 사용하실꺼면 radeonfb에 집착하지 마세요. 체크를 빼버리시던지..
vesafb* 드라이버로도 원하시는 대부분을 할 수 있습니다.
