맨드리바에서 3d desktop 이 먹히지 않습니다.

회사에서 맨드리바 2007을 사용중입니다.
3d desktop 을 해보려고 하는데 비활성상태입니다.

[metq@localhost ~]$ glxinfo | grep direct
direct rendering: No
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
[metq@localhost ~]$

그래픽카드는 제대로 잡혀있습니다만 (내장형 6100)
드라이버를 바꿔보시라고 하여 시도해보려 했으나..
(NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7184-pkg1.run,
NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9746-pkg1.run ) 이렇게 두가지 버젼 모두
kernel 과 맞지 않는다는 메시지(영어해석이라 틀릴수 있습니다;) 가 출력되면서
설치가 안됩니다.

3d desktop effects (compiz)에선 비활성 상태가 나옵니다.

nv드라이버 로 잡으면 드라이버 상에서 3d 액셀레이트 항목이 나타납니다만
3d desktop effects 항목으로 가면 비활성화 되어있고
드라이버를 보면 다시 6100으로 잡혀있게 됩니다.
nv드라이버 상태를 유지하지 않습니다.

내장형 6100 보드에서 불안정 상태를 보이며 자주 다운되도 맨드리바 2007은

인텔 메인보드칩셋에 펜티엄D 930 에서 내장형 그래픽카드로 아주 잘 돌아가고 있습니다.

맨드리바 2007에는 시디자체에 3d desktop에 대한 설정이 있으며 관리자계정에서
# urpmi compiz x11-server-xgl mesa-domes
로 설치하시고선 시스템 설정에서 3D Desktop 설정 항목에서 활성화 하시고
재부팅하면 간단하게 설치가 마무리 됩니다.
