Ubuntu Edgy (6.10)에서 flgrx(ati driver)가 활성화 돼지 않습니다.

페도라를 쓰다가 도저히 direct rendering = on으로 만들수가 없어서 우분투로 넘어 왔습니다.

그런데 우분투에서도 같은 현상이 일어 나네요.

$>glxinfo | grep direct
direct rendering: No

$>fglrxinfo
하면 mesa어쩌구 저저꾸 나오네요..

분명히 메뉴얼대로 인스톨 했는데.. direct rendering이 활성화 돼지 않고 있습니다.

매뉴얼은 http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu_Edgy_Installation_Guide 를 따랏습니다.

디바이스에 보면 모니터는 Dell 2005fpw을 인식하지만, 그래픽카드는 그냥 unknown으로 나오네요. 하지만 ait control panel에서는 X1900이라고 인식을

합니다. 도대체 이유가 먼지 알수가 없네요.. 고수님들 답변 부탁 드립니다..^^

제 사양 입니다.

cpu : Intel core 2 Duo E6400
ram : digiworks DDR2 4400 512*2
board : gigabyte GA-965P-DS3
VGA : X1900GT

xorg.conf에서 아래를 추가해 보십시오.

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite" "Disable"
EndSection

또한, AIGLX가 아직 지원되고 있지 않기 때문에 아래도 추가해주면 더 좋겠구요. 안해도 되지만..
