ubuntu 커널에서 386 과 generic 의 차이점이 뭐죠?

Dapper 사용할 때는 386으로 설치가 되었었는데,
오늘 포맷하고 Edgy로 설치했더니 generic이 설치되네요.
그래서, 시넵틱패키지관리자에서 해당 커널의 설명을 보니
x86/x86_64라고 하더군요. generic은 처음 보는 거라서...
현재 AMD Athlon xp 사용중인데 그냥 둬도 되는 건지,
아님 다른 걸로 바꿔야 되는 건지 궁금합니다.

그냥 간단하게 인텔 호환기종이라고 생각하심 될꺼예요

x86은 일반 amd 씨퓨도 포함되구요 x86_64는amd x2 64등등 ...

결론은 그냥 쓰셔두 될껏같네요~
