데비안 리눅스에서 장치 드라이브 make중에.. 다음메시지가 무엇을 의미하는 겁니까?

안녕하세요 초보리눅서입니다.

집에 개인웹서버를 쓰고 있습니다.
OS는 데비안을 기반으로 쓰고있습니다.(사지 3.1버전)
여기에 감시카메라 기능까지 붙일려고 생각중입니다.

그래서 이번에 웹캠을 샀습니다.

관련드라이브를 찾고나서
캠을 연결하고 본격적인작업을 들어가기위해
서버와 환경이 같은 데비안으로 구성하고
(데비안 사지 3.1R1a버전을 설치)
간단한 xwindows환경을 설치했구요

드라이버를 make 하는중에 다음과 같은 오류가 납니다.

debian-266:~/spca5xx-20060501# make

make: *** /lib/modules/2.6.8-2-386/build: 그런 파일이나 디렉토리가 없음. 멈춤.
make: *** [default] 오류 2

음..위 메시지가 정확이 무엇을 의미하는 줄은 모르겠지만..
커널을 새로 컴파일 해줘야 하는 건가요?

데비안 유저스 그룹은 현재 접속이 안되네요..

보통 /lib/modules/2.6.8-2-386/build 는 커널 소스 디렉토리의 링크입니다. 링크한번 걸어보세요

이런저런 일들때문에 아직 테스트는 못해봤습니다...
^^;; 현재 관련 컴퓨터를 박스에 넣어서 동봉했습니다.

축구때문에 잠을 못자겠네요..
