grub 세팅

grub.conf를 수정후에 그냥 리부팅을 하니 적용이 안되더군요. 게시판을 보니 grub-install 하드디스크이름..
을 해줘야 적용이 된다는분도 있고 그냥 리부팅을 해도 된다는분이 계신데 어느것이 맞는건지..
수정후에 어떤 명령어를 해줘야 적용이 되는겁니까?
답변 부탁드릴께요.

그냥 재부팅하면 됩니다.

grub.conf 파일 맨 위쪽에(두번재 줄인가) 보시면
# Note that you do not have to rerun grub after making changes to this file라고 보일 겁니다.

grub.conf에서 하나를 삭제해주고 리부팅했는데 그대로인건 왜그런거지요? 하나만 나와야 정상인데.. 이해안감..

현재 MBR등의 부트 섹터에 grub 부트로더가 설치돼있으면 grub-install을 실행하실 필요없이 grub.conf가 재깍재깍 반영되겠지만, 부트 섹터에 LILO 부트로더나 다른 부트로더가 설치돼있으면 grub.conf의 내용은 절대 반영되지 않을 것입니다.
