리눅스 설치할때 하드웨어가 없다고 나옵니다.

완전 초보의 질문입니다.

redhat 9.0 설치할때 맨 처음에 cd확인하는 창 skip 하고 넘기면 드라이브가 없다는 창이 나옵니다.<-인터넷에서 봤을때는 이런
내용이 뜨지 않았는데 제컴퓨터만ㅠㅠ, no 누르고 그래픽설치 시작하면 다 잘 되다가 disk druid를 통한 수동 파티션 설정과 자동 파티션 분할 선택하는 창에서 선택하고 next누르면 하드웨어가 없다고 확인해보라는 창이 뜨고 재부팅 됩니다.
(자동을 누르던 수동을 누르던 마찬가지..)

9.0이 안되길래 fedora3를 해봤는데도 똑같은데서 막힙니다.
도와주세요~

메인보드가 기가바이트의 GA-81845P,
intel 945p express chipset이라고 써져있어요..

SATA II 하드 지원의 문제일 듯한데, 너무 최신의 하드웨어라 리눅스에서 인식이 될런지는 모르겠네요.
일단 가장 최신의 배포판을 써 보세요.

fedora core4 나, opensuse 10, Mandriva 2006 같은...

# apt-get install HOPE

intel 945p 같은 경우엔 sata 지원미비 때문에 fedora core4, centos 3.5 이상에서 잘 설치가 됩니다.
