아파체데몬이 몇백개씩 뜹니다.

친구 서버 인데... 아파치 데몬이 몇백개씩 뜨는군요...

뭔문제인지 통 감이 잡히질 않습니다.

다른분들은 이런경우가 있으셨는지...

가끔 전체 리소스를 아파치 데몬 띄우는데 집중해야 하는 서버가 있는데, 아파치 데몬 프로세스를 256개 이상 띄우려고 해도 하기가 어렵거든요. 몇백개씩이라고 하시는 걸 보면 서버급 컴퓨터인가보군요. -_-;

일단 아파치 설정 파일에서 MaxServer 수를 조정해보시죠. (Apache2 에서는 MaxSpareServer 설정이 되겠군요.)

그리고 Apache2 에서는 MaxSpareThreads 수도 조정하셔서 늘리시는 것도 도움이 됩니다. 프로세스는 그럼 줄어들 수 있지요.

혹시 프록시 서비스 같은 거 켜놓지 않았나요?
그런 서비스 켜놓으면 진드기 클라이언트들이 몇백개씩 달라붙어 그런 일이 종종 생기던데요.

데몬은 동시 접속자수 만큼 뜹니다.

그리고 초기 스타트업시에 데몬수를 조절할 수도 있습니다.

StartServers 이 항목으로 설정 하죠.

보통은 기본으로 5가 지정 되어 있습니만..

몇백으로 조정하셨다면..

apache시작하자마나 그 수 만큼 뜹니다.

그게 아니라면 apache 서버에 뭔가가 수백개씩 달라붙어 있다는 말이죠.

MaxSpareServers 이 값은 데몬의 최대치 입니다.

이 최대치 이상을 벗어나는 동시 접속자들은 서비스를 받지 못하게 되겠죠.
