Red Hat 리눅스에 대해 문의드립니다..(도움부탁드립니다)

안녕하세요..

이번에 Rack Type 1U Server를 구입하게 되었습니다.

시스템 사양은

Intel Pentium 4
2GB PC4200 DDR Memory(512*4)
Seagate 250GB SATA NCQ HDD
Dual Port 1000Mbps LAN
입니다.

그런데, Red Hat 9으로는 하드디스크를 인식하질 못하더군요.
(Windows 2000 Server는 잘 설치가 됩니다)

그래서 Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES를 구입신청을 했는데
설치에 문제가 없을지 궁금해서 이렇게 글을 올립니다.

시간이 촉박하고, 반품할수도 없는 상황이어서 회원님들의 도움을
부탁드립니다.

메인보드 CMOS setup에 보면
Serial ATA를 Legacy ATA형태로
운영체제에 인식시켜 주는 옵션이 있을 겁니다.
그것으로 아마 9가 인스톨이 될겁니다.

나중에 커널을 다운받아서
적절히 컴파일 하면,
다시 CMOS에서 Serial ATA로 옵션을 전환해도
부팅이 가능할 듯 합니다.

주문하시 AS나 ES는
아마도 CMOS setup을 변동없이
설치가 가능할 듯하지만,
그렇지 못할 경우에는 위의 방식대로
인스톨 및 사용이 가능할 걸로 예상됩니다.
