mysql + c api + visual basic.. 한글 문제..

mysql-4.1.10 rpm 설치(server, devel, client, ..)를 하였습니다..
그리고 /etc/my.cnf에 language=korean, default-character-set=euckr로 설정하였습니다..(db에 바로 입력시에는 깨지는 현상이 발생하지 않습니다..)
문제는.. visual basci에서 mysql로 접근하였을 때(myodbc 3.51 설치) c api에서 mysql로 접근하였을 때(lib 이용) 한글이 깨지는 현상이 발생합니다..
그래서 여러가지로 테스트(Collation 부분 utf8_unicode_ci 등)를 해 보았는데 무엇이 문제인지 알수가 없군요... 그래서 질문드립니다..

벌써 10시간째 삽질중이네요...의외로 쉬운 문제인거 같은데...
삽질을 오래하네요.. ㅠㅠ
도움 부탁드립니다...

ps. 프로그래밍 QnA에 올렸다가 주제가 이곳이 나은듯하여 옴겼습니다.. ;;

Connect Options에서 Initial Statement에 'set names euckr'을 입력하시고 사용하세요~~
