파티션과 관련된 질문입니다....

30G 하드를 4개로 나눠서 쓰고 있습니다..

C --> winme (5G)
D --> 암것두 없음 (5G)
E --> win2000server (5G)
F --> 백업 (15G)

그런데, 리눅스를 D 에다 설치하려고 하는데, 문제가 좀 있습니다.
위의 파티션을 도스에서 FDISK를 이용해서 파티션을 미리 다 나눠놓아버렸거든
요, (그러니까 C는 primary로 잡고 나머지 D,E,F를 extended로 전부 잡아버렸
습니다)
이런 경우에, 리눅스설치시에 fdisk나 diskdruid로 D 파티션을 지우고,
거기다 새로 리눅스 파티션을(native, swap)만들어서 깔아도 되는건가요?
제가 알기로는 extended(D,E,F)가 전부 윈도우에서 파티션이 다 잡혀있기
때문에 D 만 지워서 거기다 리눅스 파티션을 설치할 수는 없다고 하던에요
extended를 다 지워버리고 새로 깔면 좋겠지만, F 에 중요한 백업파일들이 많
아서 F 를 날릴수가 없어서 그러거든요
그리고, 이런식으로 D에다 리눅스를 깔면 F 자료가 다 날라가는 건 아닌지
궁금합니다...
