recurse한 make 파일에 대한 질문

make 파일을 아래와 같이 recurse하게 돌릴 때 하나의 디렉토리에서 에러가 발생할 경우 make가 멈추지않고 다음 디렉토리로 가서 계속 컴파일을 진행합니다.
make을 진행하면서, 에러가 발생할 경우 컴파일이 중단되게 하려면 어떻게 해야되는 건가요?
그리고 이런 경우 ctrl+c로 멈추게 하려고 해도 되지않습니다.
ps로 보면 많은 make process가 떠있는데 이럴 경우 멈추게 하려면 어떻게 해야되나요?

에서
cd로 subdir로 들어가지마시고
make -C $(subdir)

처럼 -C 옵션을 사용 하세요..
