linux를 server로 W2K를 client로 모뎀사용하려고 하는데요....

LINUX를 server로 이용하고
W2K를 client로 해서
둘 사이엔 modem으로 연결하려고 합니다.
ppp를 이용해서 remote login, file transfer하는 방법이 있는지, 아니면 다
른 방법이 있는지 알고 싶습니다.

모뎀을 이용하려면 전화국을 통해야합니다. 그렇지 않을 경우에 대해서 예전에
어떤분이 질문을 올리신적이 있었는데... 결국은 중계국이 필요하다고 본것으로
기억됩니다. 모뎀보다는 그냥 Serial로 연결을 하는 것이 편할지도 모르죠. )

LINUX에는 기본적으로 Serial을 통한 연결을 지원하고 있습니다. mgetty이던가
하는 것을 이용하면 됩니다. /etc/inittab의 # Run gettys in standard runlevels
부분을 참고하시면 됩니다.
모뎀을 이용한 접속방법은 본 사이트에서 찾아보시면 있을겁니다.
