리눅스에서 smtp서버 구축문제

메일서버구축때문에 삽질한지도 벌써 2주일이 넘었군요.
센드메일의 몇몇 환경설정파일(sendmail.cf, sendmail.mc, local-host-names, access, relay-domains등)을 책에 있는대로 손을 봤지만 도무지 길이 안보이는 군요.
문제점..

smtp서버가 깔린 컴퓨터에선 메일보내는건 되는데, 외부에서 smtp서버에 접속이 안됩니다. 현재 학교와 집 컴터 두 곳에서 구축을 해놨는데 집에있는 컴터의 경우는 외부에서도 접속이 잘 되거든요.
외부에서 학교컴터로 왜 25번 포트로 접속이 안되는지 도무지 알수가 없습니다. ex) telnet 222.96.28.57 25

두번째 문제는 도메인이 없는 관계로 외부메일서버(naver,empal 등)에서 학교컴터아이피로 메일을 보내봤지만 메일이 오지는 않고, 보낸서버에서 메일이 반송되어 옵니다. (ex) Demon-Mailer@naver.com <-- 여기서 반송메일

세번째로 pop3서버의 경우는 자기자신에게 보낸 경우에 한해선 110번 포트에 접속 , 메일이 온것을 확인할 순 있는데, 외부에서 메일을 보낸게 (smtp) 안받아 지다보니 pop3서버에 접속, 확인할 길이 없습니다. ====================================================================
저 나름대로 쉽게 문제점을 설명한다고 썼는데 제대로 이해하실지 모르겠습니다.
해결방법을 알고 계시다면 주저하지마시고 답변 부탁드립니다...

학교라면 25번 포트를 막아놓았을 수도 있습니다.
