아파치 최대 동시접속 사용자수?

펜티엄 3 800MHZ 듀얼과 메모리 2G 정도, SCSI하드 서버가 있습니다.

아파치 소스변경후 약 1200개 정도까지 한 서버에서 아파치 프로세스를 띄어본적은 있습니다.

이러한 사양에서 최대한 쥐어 짜면 몇개까지 프로세스를 띄우는게 가능할가요?

그이상..

ab 로 테스트시 3000개 이상으로 잡고 테스트 해본결과 테스트시는 별 무리 없었지만

실제로 그렇게 셋팅을 하고 서비스를 돌리니깐 약 1200이상에서는

웹서버에서에러가 발생을 하더라구요.

저도 전에 이와 같은 질문을 올렸는데 답이 없었습니다.

음... 예전에 동시접속자가 6000명 정도되는 사이트를 관리해본적이 있습니다.
(일일 접속자가 아닌 동시접속자 입니다)

그때 확인한건데 아파치서버1대(버전1.3x)가 2000정도 되는걸로 알고있습니다.

그 이상으로 넘어가면 시스템이 오버플로우가 되면서 먹통이 되더군요...
(시스템이 좋지 않아서 그런건 아닙니다. 당시 제온듀얼과 ram이 4g였습니다.)

해서 웹서버를 총 3대 만들어서 근근히 버틴적이 있습니다.

아마 아파치 2.x대면 더 좋지 않을까요?

아참~ 저도 질문하나~ :oops: 아파치 2.x대에서 동시접속자를 늘리려면 소스파일의 어떤 부분을 수정해야 하나요?

1.3x대에서는 알고 있는데 2.x대에서는 통 못찾겠더라구요...

아시는분 답변좀....
