데비안에서 wmaker 한글 문제 때문에 질문드립니다.

데비안 우디 3.0r2를 사용하고 있습니다. 한글 문제 때문에 질문드립니다.

일단 dpkg-configure locales 명령을 내린후
ko_KR.EUC-KR EUC-KR으로 설정했습니다.

locale이라고 명령 내리면 아래와 같이 나옵니다.

cucucu1:/etc/samba# locale
LANG=POSIX
LC_CTYPE="POSIX"
LC_NUMERIC="POSIX"
LC_TIME="POSIX"
LC_COLLATE="POSIX"
LC_MONETARY="POSIX"
LC_MESSAGES="POSIX"
LC_PAPER="POSIX"
LC_NAME="POSIX"
LC_ADDRESS="POSIX"
LC_TELEPHONE="POSIX"
LC_MEASUREMENT="POSIX"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="POSIX"
LC_ALL=

여기서 WindowMaker을 사용하면 메뉴에 한글이 깨어져서
나옵니다.
(모질라를 열면 웹페이지 한글은 잘 나옵니다.
한텀을 사용하면 한글 입력이 안됩니다.)

또 ami를 실행시키면 

현재의 locale이 한국어를 지원하지않는 것으로
보입니다. 시스템 전체의 설치를 다시 검토해보십시요

라고 나옵니다...... 대략 황당.....

혹시 해결법 아시는 분 조언 부탁 드립니다.

아마도 한글 로케일이 설정 되지 않으신거 같군요.
/etc/locale-gen(locale.gen?) 파일을 확인해보세요.

ko_KREUC-KR EUC-KR
을 추가하시고
locale-gen(locale.gen?)을 실해하세요...

둘중에 하나는 설정파일이고 하나는 실행 명령어인데
햇갈리는군요. 지금 윈도우라 확인해 볼 수가 없습니다.
죄송....
그리고 로케일을 한글로 하셨어도 윈도우 메이커에서는
메뉴가 깨져 보일 겁니다.
윈도우 메이커 에서도 따로 설정 파일을 수정하셔야 합니다.

dpkg-reconfigure locales 하실 때 default locale을 무엇으로 할지 고르는 부분이 있을 것입니다. 그 default locale 설정을 해주신 게 맞나요? 그런데도 ko_KR.EUC-KR이 사용되지 않고 있는 것인가요?

어떨결에 해결했습니다.......

조금 있다가 정리해서 제가 한 방법을 올리겠습니다.

어떻게 해결했냐면.......

일단 apt-get install language-env 을 이용해 설치합니다.

그리고 set-language-env합니다. 그러면 언어를 물어보는데
ko를 선택합니다. 그 후에 폰트 선택하라는데 적당한거 선택합니다.

이제부터 각종 설정파일을 만드는데 필요한것만 만드시면 됩니다.

이만 허접이었습니다.
