Postfix가 실행이 안되네요. /etc/.../postfix start를 아무리 &

저는 Mandrake 9.2 + Postfix 2.0.13 + Cyrus-imap + Cyrus-sasl을 사용하여 mail server를 구축하고자 합니다.
그래서 rpm package를 다 설치했는데요,

/etc/rc.d/init.d/postfix start를 해서 서버를 실행시키면..
Starting Postfix ......[OK]
하고 나오는데,

telnet localhost 25 라고 하면
trying 127.0.0.1...
telnet: connect to address 127.0.0.1: Connection refused
telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

위와 같이 나옵니다. 그래서 ps -A | grep postfix 해보니까
아무말도 안 나옵니다. 여러번 서버를 실행시켜도 마찬가지 입니다.
물론 설치된 package list(rpm -qa | grep postfix)를 보면 postfix가 나온다는 겁니다.

왜 실행이 안되는지 모르겠습니다.

정도로 어떤 오류메세지가 떳는지 찾아보시면 해답을 찾으실 듯..

배포판에 따라 파일의 종류가 달라질 수 있습니다.
