red hat 9.0 에서 nfs 파일 시스템에 대한 질문...

안녕하세요.
제가 red hat 9.0 을 설치해서 nfs를 이용해서 클라이언트에서 서버에 마운트해서 공유하게하려고 하거든요..
그러려면 클라이언트 노드들이 커널 에서 Root file system on NFS항목이 Y로 체크가 되야하는데 .... 체크가 안되서 그런지 마운트가 안되더라구요.
red hat 9.0은 Root file system on NFS항목을 체크할수 없도록 되어 있던데...
Root file system on NFS항목을 체크할수 있는 방법이나 NFS를 이용해서 서버에 마운트 할수 있는 방법좀 알려주세요...

클라이언트 부팅시에 root file system으로 서버쪽 파일 시스템을 이용하려는 건지 단순히 파일시스템의 특정 영역을 공유하려하는건지 궁금합니다.

단순히 특정 영역을 공유하는 거라면 root file system on nfs는 필요 없습니다. 그냥 nfs를 이용하면 되구요.

부팅시 root file system을 몽땅 서버쪽 파일 시스템을 이용하려 한다면 커널 컨피그레이션에서 Networking options" -> "IP: kernel level autoconfiguration" 이 활성화가 되어 있어야
"Root file system on NFS"를 활성화 시킬 수 있습니다.

제 기억으로는 dhcp와 bootp가 설정되어 있어야 되는 걸로 알고 있구요. 자세한것은 Documentation/nfsroot.txt 파일을 참조하세요.
