NAME Server문제... 이건 무슨 현상인가요?

운영하는 사이트가 특정망에서는 접속이 안됀다는 신고를 듣고
분석중에 다음과 같은 현상이 나타납니다.
이걸 어떻게 해석해야 할지 해서요...
nslookup 실행화면입니다.

잠깐 봤습니다만..
ns.kornet.net 에서는 kornet.net 하위 도메인만 응답을 해주고..
다른 도메인은 응답을 안해주더군요..

롱맨6님 말씀이 맞습니다.
ns.kornet.net은 recursive query에 대해서는 응답을 하지 않도록 되어 있고 코넷 가입자를 위한 도메인 등록 서버입니다. 따라서 ns.kornet.net에 등록된 도메인에 대해서만 응답을 합니다.

일반 가입자는 kns.kornet.net(168.126.63.1)에 질의를 던져야 합니다.

참고로 해당 네임 서버 2대가 모두 같은 네트웍에 있는 데 가급적이면 다른 네임서버는 다른 네트웍에 두시던지, 사용하고 계신 ISP의 DNS에 도메인을 2차로 설정하는게 좋습니다.

근데 168.126.63.1 내부에 여러대가 있나요?
쿼리때마다 다른 내용을 돌려주던데요...
그렇겠죠?

몇대 있더군요. 하이텔 동호회 할 때 혜화동 전화국 내부에 동호회 서버 백업문제때문에 간 적 있었는데, 몇대 있는 걸 봤습니다. 순간적으로 든 .. 생각... 저걸 전원 끄면 어찌 될까... 라는 생각이 들더군요.

예전에 직접 보고 거기서 작업을 해 봤습니다.

서버 대수는 제법 있지요. 네트웍이 다중화 되어 있는 건 당연한 것이구요.

거기 전원을 끄면? 난리 나겠지요. :-)

그래서 지역마다 DNS를 두어서 가급적이면 사용자를 분산시키려고 하고 있습니다.

아, 그 DNS 옆에는 국제망으로 나가는 캐쉬가 무지막지하게 많이 돌고 있습니다.
