래드햇 9.0에서 단순 masquerade 설정 문제....

래드햇 8.0에서 masquerade 설정시 서버측 eth0(케이블 모뎀), eth1(내부IP) 그리고 10/100 스위치, 그리고 클라이언트에 eth0이 있습니다.
서버측 eth0은 케이블 모뎀과 다이렉트로 물려 dhcp를 사용하고 eth1은 192.168.10.1의 사설IP를 사용합니다. 서버의 eth1은 스위치에 물려있고 클라이언트의 eth0도 스위치에 물려 있으며 ip는 192.168.10.2이며 게이트웨이로 서버측의 eth1을 사용합니다.
route table도 이상없고 서버에서 외부로 핑도 잘나가며 내부 ip간에도 이상없습니다. 그런데 클라이언트에서 외부로는 전혀 나가질 못합니다.
/etc/sysctl에서 ipv4를 1로 바꿔주고 iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE를 실행해도 마찬가지 입니다. 그런데 정작 이상한점은 동일 설정으로 래드햇 8.0에서는 아무 이상없이 잘 된다는 점입니다.
iptables 버전이 바뀌어서 추가적인 옵션이 발생한건지 아니면 커널상의 문제인지... 여러 고수님들의 답변 부탁드립니다.

저도 친구집 설정해주다가 그런일을 격은적이 있는데...
어디선가본 '게이트웨이아이피가 내부네트워크보다 크게하면 되더라~'는..
정말 말도 안될것같은 걸... 지푸라기잡는 심정으로 해봤었는데..

됐습니다!(정말 믿을수 없게도....)

당시에는 게이트웨이 IP를 192.168.0.10으로(내부는 192.168.0.2~5)로 했었습니다.

물론 왜 되었는지 이유는 알수 없고.. 제 엑스파일속에 남아있습니다.
(물론 안될수도 있고 안되는게 당연한것일수도 있는데... 한번해보세요..)
