도메인은 맞는데 없는 메일계정이 날라왔을때..

현재 리눅스서버(sendmail)에서 없는 메일계정의 이메일이 날라왔습니다.
즉, 현재 우리 리눅스서버에 설정되지않는 이메일 계정으로 광고가 날라왔습니다.
예를 들면 현재 xxx.co.kr이란 도메인에 a,b,c라는 3개의 계정이 있습니다.
그런데 메일을 사용할 수있는건 a@xxx.co.kr , b@xxx.co.kr , c@xxx.co.kr 3개밖에 존재하지 않을텐데.. 계정에도 없는 d@xxx.co.kr이라는 같은도메인의 메일이 날라왔습니다.
d라는 유저도없고 메일계정도 없는데 어떻게 샌드메일을 거쳐서 날라왔을까요?
시스템에 문제가 있는것인가요? 어떻게 확인해야 할지 모르겠네요...

d 라는 유저도 없고 메일계정도 없다면 그 메일은 어디에 저장되어 있습니까? (메일헤더는 마음먹기에 따라 얼마든지 거짓으로 보낼 수 있고, 실제 대부분의 스팸발송기는 그런 기능을 지원하고 있는 것 같습니다.)
