[질문] gcc 링크시 에러

안녕하세요..리눅스 초보입니다.

다음과 같은 상황이 발생했습니다. 저는 왜 그런지 도저히 모르겠습니다.
고수님들 도와주세요.

[xantera@localhost Research]$ gcc -Wall -I/usr/include/ -o lesson2 -L/usr/X11R6/lib/ lesson2.o -lX11 -lXi -lXmu -lglut -lGL -lGLU -lm
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lX11
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
[xantera@localhost Research]$

/usr/X11R6/lib 디렉토리에 분명히 libX11.so가 있습니다.
그런데도 이런 메시지가 나오네요.

ld.so.conf에

/usr/X11R6/lib
항목이 존재하는지 한번 보세요..

답변 주셔서 고맙습니다.

그런데, ld.so.conf에 분명히 /usr/X11R6/lib가 분명히 존재합니다.

다음과 같은 항목이 적혀 있었습니다.

[xantera@localhost Research]$ cat /etc/ld.so.conf
/usr/kerberos/lib
/usr/X11R6/lib
/usr/lib/qt-3.1/lib
/usr/local/lib
/usr/lib <--- 이 항목이 없어서 제가 넣었습니다.

레드햇 9.0을 사용하고 있습니다.
