리눅스가 데이터?를 파일형태로 저장한다는 의미가 무엇인가요?

리눅스가 기본 단위? 데이터?가 파일인것이 특징이라고 했는데
이게 무슨말인지 대체 이해가 안되네요.. 제대로된 말도 기억이 안나고

네, 원래 이런 말이었을거예요.
리눅스는 모든 장치조차도 파일로 표현하고 해당 장치를 그 파일로의 표준 입출력을 통해 제어한다.
뭐...이런...

/dev/fb 같은거요. 이건 screen장치에 대한 파일인데 (FrameBuffer)
이 파일을 fopen, fwrite, fread, fclose, ioctl 등으로 조작하여 화면해상도를 바꾸거나
화면에 그림을 그리거나 하는게 가능합니다.

모든 장치에 대한 접근을 동일한 방법(표준 입출력함수)으로 할수있게 한데에 의미가 있습니다.
