리눅스에서 설정해줘야할 보안사항이 있을까요?

리눅스를 개인용 pc의 운영체제로 사용중입니다.
문뜩 이런 의문이 들더군요. 윈도우에서 자동으로 공유폴더나 기타 공유자원이 기본값으로 설정된다. 사용자의 무지 또는 부주의로 인해, 네트워크에 자기 컴퓨터를 개방하여 사용중인 경우도 있다. 그렇다면 리눅스는?

리눅스에서 보안을 위해 따로 설정해줘야할 곳이 있나요?
예를 들어서, 우분투나 페도라, 오픈수세 같은 배포판에서 어떤점을 설정하면 좋을지 알려주세요.

ftp, www 등의 서버를 돌리지 않는 이상 신경 쓰지 않으셔도 됩니다.
각 서버데몬들은 배포판마다 기본으로 깔리는 게 다르니 직접 손 봐야겠죠.
