* 여러분들도 잘 아는 것과 같이,,,
단지 부득이하게 테스트용도로 사용하는 것을 제외하고,,,
'Windows 98 SE'에서 서버(Server)를 운영하는 것은 '넌센스'이므로,,,
'윈도우즈98SE'에서 "서버(Server) 운영"을 하는 것은 '비(非)추천'입니다!

* FileZilla Server 0.9.16 beta , 0.9.16a beta , 0.9.16b beta 들은, 설치(install)는 되지만, 서버 실행시 제대로 운용이 안됩니다.(Server에 Log-in이 계속 실패합니다.)

* FileZilla Server 0.9.16c beta (dated May 03, 2006) 버전 부터는, 첨부한 그림파일과 같이 popup message가 뜨면서 설치가 거부됩니다.

"MS윈도98SE"에서 유닉스/리눅스(UNIX/LINUX)류의 파일들을 FTP클라이언트 프로그램(FileZilla Client)으로 다운로드 받을 때는,,, 아래의 사항들에 유의해야 합니다.

(1)
"파일전송 타입"(File transfer type) 옵션을 "자동"(Auto detect)으로 설정했을 경우에는,,, "확장자가 없는 바이너리 파일"(예를 들어, Boot, Vmlinuz, etc)이 "ASCII mode"로 다운로드가 되어버려서, 바이너리 파일이 손상된다. *이유는, 초기설정이 확장자가 없는 파일들을 문서파일로 인식하여 ASCII mode 로 다운로드 하도록 설정되어 있기 때문이다.

따라서, (...각 파일들의 확장자 별로 일일이 바이너리 또는 텍스트 파일로 개별 설정을 해주기 보다는...) 설정(Setting...)의 "File transfer settings"옵션을 "Binary Mode"로 변경하여, 모든 파일들(...텍스트 문서 파일이든 바이너리 파일이든 확장자가 있든 없든...)을 바이너리 모드로 다운로드 한다.

이렇게 하더라도, 텍스트 문서 파일(...스크립트 소스 파일 등등 포함해서...)의 경우도 아무 문제없이(아무 이상없이) 아무런 손상없이 텍스트 문서 파일 그대로 보존되면서 다운로드 된다.
오히려, '유닉스/리눅스(UNIX/LINUX) 문서파일' 형식이, 'MS윈도우 문서파일' 형식이나 'MS도스(MS DOS) 문서파일' 형식으로 자동으로 변환되는 일이 없이, 변경없이 그대로 download되는 부가적인 장점도 있음!

다운로드 되는 과정에서, 받고 있는 원본파일의 날짜와 시간이 "오늘 날짜"로 자동 변경되지 않고 그대로 변경없이 유지되기를 원한다면,,, 설정(Setting...)의 "Preserve date/time of downloaded files"옵션을 "선택/체크" 및 "설정(OK)"해 주고난 후에, 다운로드를 진행해야 한다!
