그놈 2.4 설치후에 문제점..

그놈 2.4 데스크탑(gnome-desktop-2.4.1.1.tar.bz2)을 인스톨 했습니다.
./configure -> make -> make check -> make install 매뉴얼 대로 했습니다.

물론 그놈 2.2가 깔려 있는 상태입니다. 엑스 실행하면 알수 없는 헤더입니다. 라는 메세지만 출력하고는 그놈 2.4가 뜨지 않고, 전 버젼 그놈 2.2가 뜨네요.

무슨 문제인지 그놈 2.4가 뜨게 할려면 어캐 하죠?

이거 때눔에 레드햇 리눅스 9를 4번 깔았네요 .

그놈 2.4을 사용하고 싶은데 방법좀 알려 주시기 바랍니다.
이상 리눅스 4일 된 생초보였습니다.

소스를 깔았는데, RPM을 깔아야 합니까?
그렇다면 RPM은 어디에 있죠? 아무리 찾아도 없던데요...

저도 gnome 2.4를 설치하느라 고생을 많이 했습니다. 지금은 그럭저럭 잘 돌아가는 모양새를 보여주더군요.(뭐, imhangul이나 xchat, mplayer, pan, mozilla 등등 설치할 것과 설치한 것들에 문제가 조금씩 있긴 하지만서두...)

gnome-desktop만 따로 설치하지 말고 ftp사이트에서 관련 소스를 다운 받아서 전체적으로 구축을 해 보세요. 누군가의 말에 따르면 gnome패키지들은 같은 버전이 아니면 패키지들간에 호환이 잘 안된다고 하더군요.
그래서, 저는 LFS사이트의 빌드 order를 따라 전체적으로 업글을 했습니다.
아래 링크를 보면 조금이나마 도움이 될 것입니다.

당연한 현상입니다. gnome-desktop-2.4.1.1.tar.bz2 뿐만 아니라 나머지 패키지들 설치하셔야 합니다.

Gnome 2.4를 원하시면 Fedora Core 1도 좋은 선택입니다.
