JOB DESCRIPTION
Linaro is looking for an experienced support engineer to help with the automated deployment of LAVA (Linaro Automated Validation Architecture) and analysis of test results for Android and Ubuntu based images on our member’s ARM development boards. LAVA is Linaro's internally developed solution for the deployment and execution of automated tests on our member's boards and SoC's.

The successful candidate will be a part of the Member Services team and provide LAVA support to our members, including the setup of LAVA in our member's offices. Further duties include the analysis of test results, aiding in the debugging of technical issues and answering questions from Linaro's members, partners and prospective members.

This position is located in Korea but the successful candidate is expected to support all Linaro’s members, partners and prospects globally via online interaction, telephone and on-site visits as necessary. This position will require some international travel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with training and mentoring Linaro member engineers to use LAVA.
Work with the Linaro validation team, working groups and member landing teams to
identify their testing requirements.
Work with the Linaro validation team, working groups and member landing teams
to develop automated solutions for their requirements.
Develop custom test suites for use in LAVA.
Integrate 3rd party benchmarks and test suites into LAVA.
Integrate members proprietary test suites into LAVA.
Assist with training and mentoring of Linaro and member personnel on LAVA.
Technical support for any questions and problems our member have using and
deploying LAVA.
Provide tutorial/technical detailed documents that help customers to use LAVA.
Participate in LAVA development process and contribute to making a LAVA implementation
that can 
scale to hundreds of ARM devices.
Participate in the development of LAVA, LAVA dashboards and reports for LAVA.
Provide a technical guide to integrate LAVA with customer site continuous integration processes.
Develop strong working relationships with key engineers, architects and managers
within our members and prospective member companies.

PERSONAL SKILLS
Customer oriented mindset with a goal to strive for 100% customer satisfaction.
Experience in both manual and automated testing on Android and Ubuntu
Experience with Linux on ARM for various types of product
Experience with Ubuntu or Red Hat server operation and software components
Writing Python and shell scripts.
Testing of embedded and/or server systems.
Test automation for testing of embedded and/or server systems.
Working with multiple projects and teams to troubleshoot issues
Outstanding troubleshooting skills at kernel level for mobile and server
Basic troubleshooting skills at hardware level for mobile and server
Ability to travel domestically and internationally to help our members.
Experience with commonly used Linux test suites.
Excellent presentation and communications skills, both verbal and written.
Experience interfacing with customers and performing on-site support.
Experience profiling and optimizing test procedures on mobile and server platforms.
Experience building kernels and understanding Linux kernel, initramfs, busybox, etc.
Experience working with ARM based development cycle
