[완료]linux time 명령에 대해...

안녕하세요.
server admin 3년째에 접어들었지만...
아직도 모르는게 수두룩합니다 ㅠ.ㅠ

도대체 time명령은 뭐죠?
사용자가 실행한 명령이나.... 스크립트이대한 실행시간이 얼마나 걸렷는지를.... 알고싶으때 사용한다는 것은 알고 있습니다.

하지만...
whereis time 해도 경로가 나오지않고...
또한 which time도 안나오고...
혹시 링크가 걸려있는 실행파일인가? 해서...
find / -type l ls | grep time 도 안나오고

그냥 find 로 무식하게 모든 파일시스템을 검색해도 저 명령어는 존재하지않습니다.

하지만 그냥 단순히 콘솔에서 time이라고 치면이 잘되내요.
저녀석의 정체는 도대체뭐죠?

[root@localhost ~]# whereis time
time: /usr/bin/time /usr/include/time.h /usr/share/man/man1/time.1.gz /usr/share/man/man7/time.7.gz /usr/share/man/man2/time.2.gz /usr/share/man/man1p/time.1p.gz /usr/share/man/man3p/time.3p.gz
 
[root@localhost ~]# which time
/usr/bin/time
 
[root@localhost ~]# ls -al /usr/bin/time
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 17424  5월 24  2008 /usr/bin/time

위와 같이 나오네요.

감사합니다.
/usr/bin/time 의미와 time의미는 좀 다릅니다.
/usr/bin/time 은 os 자체가 time패키지가 설치되어있을떄 나타납니다.
즉. 명령어는 /usr/bin/time = time와 같지만 실제로의 역활은 다릅니다.
콘솔상에서
root@local#time
root@local#/usr/bin/time 을 비교해 보시면 됩니다.

쉘(아마도 bash)에서 제공하는 기능일 겁니다.

$ type -t time
keyword
