ATI 비디오 카드에서 Xv Extension??

xine을 돌리다가....
video card fail 이 나면서...
Xv를 지원하지 않는다고 하는데요......

제 비디오 카드가 ATI Rage Mobility 인데....
어떤 사람말로는 비디오 카드 자체가 Xv Extension을 지원하지 않는것 같다고 하는데.....
사이트 찾아보면 지원한다는것 같기도 하고...ㅡ.ㅡ;;
아시는 분 답변좀 부탁드립니다.

다음에서 ati rage mobility의 dri, xvideo, tv-out 지원 패치된 X 서버 모듈의 소스와 바이너리를 받을 수 있습니다. 이 홈페이지 주인이 혼자서 직접 삽질한 결과인가 봅니다;

제가 알게된 가장 중요한 사실이, ati rage mobility는 rage 칩이 아니라 mach64 칩을 사용한다는 것입니다. -_-; 그래서 커널에서도 mach64 지원 기능을 넣어주어야 합니다.

그리고 비디오메모리가 적은 경우에 고해상도로 X를 띄우면 mach64 커널 모듈을 올려도 lsmod 해보면 모듈을 사용하지 않는다고 나옵니다. 이러면 x서버 dri 모듈을 올려도 3D 게임은 거의 컴터 다운된 수준으로 버벅이게 됩니다. 이럴땐 색상수는 16bit로 하고 해상도를 계속 낮춰보세요.

그래서 저는 ati rage mobility를 사용해 tux-racer를 하고.. 온갖 동영상을 마음껏 볼 수 있게 되었습니다..
