freenx client 접속 오류

ubuntu에 freenx를 설치했습니다.

# nxserver --restart
NX> 100 NXSERVER - Version 2.1.0-71 OS (GPL)
NX> 123 Service stopped
NX> 122 Service started
NX> 999 Bye

그리고 winxp에 nomachine의 nxclient를 설치했습니다.
NX Client for Windows Version 3.1.0.6

대부분의 설정은 default로 두고 클라이언트에서 서버로 접속하는데,
그냥 창이 잠깐 떴다가 session failed 다이얼로그만 나오고 종료됩니다.

위에 워닝만 보이고 특별한 문제는 안보입니다.

다른 로그 (서버, 클라이언트)를 봐도 error 로 나오는 부분은 없어보입니다.

어떻게 해결해야할까요?

추가로..

서버에서 status를 보면
실제로 짧은 시간동안 연결이 되었다가 저절로 끊깁니다.
로그도 정상적으로 terminating되는것처럼 보이고요..

클라이언트쪽 콘피규레이션에서
Desktop을 UNIX - CUSTOM 으로 설정하면 접속이 유지되는데
클라이언트쪽에서 아무런 일도 일어나지 않는군요..

Desktop 설정을 잘 해줘야하는건가요?

아니면 서버쪽에 X를 실행시키고 있으면 안된다거나.. 그런 제약이 있나요?

일년이나 지난 포스트네요
전 어제 FreeNX 설치하다가 같은 문제에 부딛혀서
로그파일을 잘 살펴보니 권한 문제더라구요
원격접속할 사용자의 홈디렉토리에 .Xauthority 파일이
루트 소유로 되어있더군요(우분투 8.10)
sudo 를 안쓰고 루트 사용자로 설치하니까 그런것 같습니다.
아뭏든 위 파일의 권한을 접속할 사용자 그룹과 소유로 바꾸어 주시면 접속 됩니다.
