우분투6.10 에서 ATI 드라이버를 설치하던중 드라이버가 데비안패키지(*.deb)로 바뀌질 않습니다

우분투6.10에 ATI 드라이버를 설치하던중 드라이버가 데비안 패키지로 바뀌질 않습니다.
#sudo apt-get update
#sudo apt-get install module-assistant build-essential fakeroot dh-make
debhelper debconf libstdc++5 이후

#sh ati-driver-installer-8.33.xxxxxxxx.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/edgy
여기서 데비안 패키지로 바꿀려는데 에러메세지가 나오면서 안됩니다.
처음에는 ./ati-installer.sh: 163: Syntax error: Bad substitution
Removing temporary directory: fglrx-install
이런 메세지가 나왔으나 /bin/bash 에서 sudo ln -sf /bin/bash /bin/sh 를 한후엔

Generating package: Ubuntu
Requested package is not supported.
Removing temporary directory: fglrx-install
이런 메세지가 나오면서 변환이 안됩니다..
해결 방법이 없을까요 ㅡ_ㅜ.. 아시는분 가르쳐주세요..~~

ATI에서 발표한 드라이버는 redhat과 suse 밖에 지원 안합니다.

옵션에 ubuntu가 없으니 에러가 나는거죠.

차라리 http://wiki.beryl-project.org/wiki/Install_Beryl_on_Ubuntu_Edgy_with_GC_Drivers 에 있는 방법 중에 flgrx로 하는 방법을 써보세요.

전 그게 더 좋더군요. -_-

fglrx인데 익명이라 수정이 불가능하군요. -_-;

ATI express 200m 칩셋을 사용한 노트북에 설치시 ati에서 받은 드라이버로 잘 되었습니다.

버전이 달라서 그런지는 잘 모르겠지만, --list 인가 --pkglist 인가 하는 옵션을 주면

지원하는 배포판, 버젼 다 나와있으니 한번 확인해 보시는게 좋을 것 같습니다.

./ati-driver-installer-8.32.5-x86.x86_64.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/edgy

-> 잘 동작했습니다.
