무선 AP 검색?

안녕하세요...
요즘 보드(하이버스 255b)에 무선랜카드를 달고 특정 ap에 접속하여 dhcp를 빼는것을 했습니다.
그런데...이넘의 욕심이 끝이 없는지라...
주변에 검색되는 ap들을 보여주고 그 리스트중에 하나를 골라서 접속이 가능하게 하고 싶어졌습니다.
그래서 이것저것 막 알아보고는 있는데...
보드에있는 무선랜카드가 어떻게 주변에 있는 ap를 찾는지 이해가 잘 가지 않더라구요...
그래서 이렇게 질문을 드립니다...
혹시 이 부분에 대해서 아시는 분이나 관련 자료가 있으신분 있으시면...
도움좀 부탁드립니다...

iwlist <무선랜 이더넷 alias> scanning 하면 무선랜이 접속가능한 모든 AP보여줍니다.

arm용 iwlist를 찾아봤는데 보이질 않아서요...
혹시 iwlist와 비슷한 역활을 하는 것? 없을까요?

Montavista에서 제공하는 redwood5 개발툴킷에는 포함되어 있어서 당연히 있을줄 알았습니다..
크로스 컴파일 하심이 어떨지??
