런레벨에 대한 궁금한 점 질문입니다...

런레벨에 대해서 대강 알겠는데,
콘솔창에서(init 3) startx로 해서 x-window로 부팅하는 것과
init 5로 해서 부팅하는 것과 어떤 차이가 있나요?
같은 x-window 인데도 startx로 부팅해서 자동 실행하게 한 프로그램이
init5로 들어가서 보면 프로그램이 자동 실행되지 않았더군요...

제가 알기로는, 상황에 따라 실행되는 스크립트의 집합이라고 알고 있습니다.
배포판마다 다르겠지만, /etc/rcX.d의 파일들이 각각의 런레벨을 돌리기 위한 스크립트의 집합입니다.
그래서 런레벨 3에서는 /etc/rc3.d, 5에서는 /etc/rc5.d의 스크립트가 실행되기 때문에 달라지는 거죠.

런레벨 뜻은 알겠는데,
엑스윈도로 똑 같이 들어 갈수 있는걸
왜 하필 startx와 init 5로 나누어 놓았을까요?
startx와 init 5로 각각 들어간 엑스 윈도 환경에 어떤 차이점이 있는지?
다르다면 뭐가 다른지...

저같은 경우는 엑스윈도로 갈때 init 5는 로그온을 한번더 해줘야하기
때문에 귀찮아서 startx로 보통 들어갑니다...

콘솔창(init 3)에 들어가기 위해 로그온하고 startx 하는 거랑,
init 5 상태에서 로그온 하는 거랑 어차피 한번은 로그온해야 하는거 아닌가요?
