fedora core3에서 nvidia드라이버 설치 에러...

안녕하세요... :D
다름이 아니오라

리눅스를 깐 콘솔모드로 재부팅한 다음에
엔비디아 드라이버를 깔려고 하는데
라이센스 에서 확인하고 들어가면

이런 에러가 나네요

rom the NVIDIA ftp site (ftp://download.nvidia.com)? (Answer: Yes)
-> No matching precompiled kernel interface was found on the NVIDIA ftp site;
this means that the installer will need to compile a kernel interface for
your kernel.
ERROR: Unable to find the development tool `cc` in your path; please make sure
that you have the package 'gcc' installed. If gcc is installed on your
system, then please check that `cc` is in your PATH.
ERROR: Installation has failed. Please see the file
'/var/log/nvidia-installer.log' for details. You may find suggestions
on fixing installation problems in the README available on the Linux
driver download page at www.nvidia.com.

이게 도대체 뭔말이레요.... ㅜ.

참고로 저는 페도라 코어3에서 7174버젼을 깔려고 했습니다.

이 에러 메시지는 현재 설치된 커널에 맞도록 컴파일된 nvidia 모듈이 없다는 얘기입니다. 그냥 yes 하면 커널에 컴파일합니다 :)

아마 이것은 둘중 하나이겠네요..
하나는 gcc 관련 패키지가 설치되어 있지 않아서 gcc나 cc가 PATH 에 걸려 있지 않아서 nvidia를 컴파일 하지 못한다거나
전체 PATH 가 잘못 설정되어 있는 듯이 보입니다.
그런데 전체적인 뉘앙스를 보건데 :) gcc 관련 패키지가 설치되어 있지 않는듯 합니다.

Fedora core3에 맞는 gcc를 설치하시기 제대로 될것입니다

참고로 nvidia 7174 릴리즈 버전은 kernel 이 2.6.11이상을 요구합니다 fedora 3 core를 업데이트하시면(up2date 혹은 yum 이용) 2.6.11이상으로 업데이트하실 수 있으실 겁니다

참고로 저는 페도라 코어3에서 7174버젼을 깔려고 했습니다.

직접 빌드 하시는 것 보다는 여기 있는 패키지를 이용해 보세요. yum 저장소도 제공하고 설치할때 nvidia 설정은 자동으로 해줍니다.

nvidia-glx, nvidia-glx-devel, kernel-module-nvidia-설치된 커널 버전
