커널 컴파일후 VFS 에러

안녕하세요
커널 컴파일후 에러에 대해 문의드리겠습니다.

현재 RedHat9.0 에서 2.6.8.1 커널을 만들고 있습니다.
목표는 사이즈를 가능한한 작게 만드는게 목표구요
hda7에 /, hda8에 swap이 깔려 있습니다.

일단 컴파일까지는 성공하는데 다음 메시지를 내면서 panic이 납니다.
make all

(3,7) 이란게 뭘 의미하는 건지 모르겠습니다. hda7이면 (0,6) 이라고 나와야 할거 같은데..

initrd 는 사용하지 않았구요 커널 옵션에서 파일시스템이나 디바이스 드라이버 셋팅이 잘못된거 같기도 한데 .config 파일 내용입니다.

메뉴 컨피그에서 옵션마다 헬프 보면서 설정했는데 맞는지는 잘 모르겠네요

fstab은 이렇게 되어 있습니다.

가장 궁금한건 부팅시에 unknown-block(3,7)이 도데체 뭔지 이쪽만 좀 고칠 수 있으면 될 것 같은데요...
일단 의심가는건 grub 설정하고 커널옵션정도인데 옵션은 여러가지 추가시키면서 해도 계속 똑같습니다. 여기서 VFS, unknown-block 등등 검색해서 다 읽어봤는데 어렵네요...

최후의 수단으로는 페도라를 깔아서 거기서 컴파일해보려고 합니다. -_-;
