커널 2.4.7에서 2.6.8로 업하는데요..잘안되네요..

레드헷 7.2깔구서 커널 2.6.8로 업하려는데...
잘안됩니다.
커널 컴파일전에 무언가 다른 조치를 해야하는지요..??
