Telnet 접속시 권한 제한 문제

개인용 웹호스팅을 하고 있습니다.

보통 유저들에게 Telnet과 FTP 계정을 주는데..
FTP는 디렉토리 제한이 있더라구염..
(proftp)
근데 텔넷은 잘 모르겠습니다.

유저들이 접속해서 /etc나 기타 디렉토리 못돌아 다니게 할려고 하는데
어떻게야 하져??

어떤분은 chroot이용하라고 하던데...
문서중 하나를 보니까.. chroot는 홈디렉토리에 설정하지 않는게
좋다고 하더라구염..

혹시 많이 쓰는 방법이 없는지....

궁금합니다.

telnet은 자기가 접속을 거부하는 아이피를 제한 할수 있는것입니다.
그러니까 폴더 제한은 모르겠는데 완전히 자기가 거부하는 아이피
또는 자기가 허락하는 아이피만 telnet을 허용할수 있죠
etc에 hosts.deny과 hosts.allow을 설정해야 합니다.
