XP 박스에서 삼바 서버로 파일복사 시 디렉토리의 수정시간(mtime) 을유지하는 방법을 알고 싶습니다.

최근 릴리즈된 데비안에 패키징된 삼바 3.0.24 버전을 사용중입니다.
파일 시스템은 ext3이고요.
일반 파일의 경우는 원본의 수정시간(mtime)이 유지되나 디렉토리의 경우는 항상 현재 시간으로 정해집니다.
과거 프로젝트의 대략적인 개정상태를 시간으로 판단하는 저로써는 현재 시간으로 바뀐 디렉토리의 수정시간은 대략 난감입니다.
원하는 바는 삼바 서버로 파일 및 디렉토리를 복사하거나 이동 시 'cp -AR', 'cp -pR' 명령을 수행하였을 처럼 관련 시간정보를 정확히 유지하는 것입니다.
많은 조언 바라며, 아래에 현재 설정의 일부를 붙입니다.
