[질문]mplayer에서 제목표시줄의 한글 보이게 하기

1. 제폭표시줄에서 한글이 보이게 하려면?
여기저기 검색해 봐도 첨부파일에서 처럼
제목표시줄에 한글이 제대로 나오지 않는 것에 대한 내용은 안보입니다.
첨부파일에서 보면 '원더걸스'한글이 재생목록에 보이는데 제목표시줄에는
빈칸만 보입니다.
어디를 고쳐야 하는지요?

2. mplayer가 한글메뉴가 아닌 영문 메뉴로 되는 까닭은?
sudo apt-get install mplayer
이런 명령으로 해서 mplayer를 설치했는데 메뉴가 당연히 한글로 나올 줄 알았는데
영어로 되더군요. 다른분 스샷을 보면 모두 한글 메뉴던데 어떻게 설치해야 하는지
모르겠습니다. 검색해보니 소스컴파일할때 language옵션에서 한글 선택해서 하는
방법은 알았는데 근본적으로 뭐가 어디서 잘못되었는지 몰라서요.

커널버전 2.6.20-16-generic.
ubuntu 7.04
locale = ko_KR.utf8
