xwindow 에 들어갈 수가 없습니다. xsession error

한번은 Xsession.error 팝업이 뜨면서 root 로 로그인이 안되었습니다.
다른 계정으로는 가능했구요. 아래와 같은 로그가 있었구요.
그런데 다른 계정으로 계속 작업을 하다가, 커널? 부트로더? 이미지를 날려먹었습니다.
아무데도 없더군요....물론 부팅도 안되구요.

그래서 다시 설치하고, 텍스트 모드로 작업을 했고, startx 명령으로 xwindow를 실행하려고 하니
화면이 깜빡깜박하더니 아래와 같은 메시지가 나오네요..

이유가 뭔가요?...아래 이상한 점은...build os 버전과 current os 버전이 왜 다른건지요...;;;

전 RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 update 3 버전을 설치했습니다.

Direct Frame Buffer 와 GTK+ 를 설치한 것입니다.

그리고, grub.confi 에

video=atyfb:mode:1280x1024 vga=0x31B 를 추가시켜줬구요..

그래픽 카드는 ATI .....es(?) 1000 이구요

$ fbset -i 라고 입력하면

Name : VESA VGA 라고 뜹니다...;; 이게 그래픽 카드인지...암튼...답변에 참고하시라고 추가합니다.;;;
