kde에서 한글입력이 안됩니다.(루트만)

한글입력이 root만 안되요(수세리눅스에서)

안녕하세요. 저는 얼마전부터 리눅스를 시작한 초보랍니다.
여러가지 배포본 중 데비안과 젠투리눅스가 제일 맘에 들었지만
초보자가 하기엔 너무 부담스러운데다가 유닉스 실습시험이 얼마
남지 않아서 만만한 거 깔기로 했거든요.
그런데 수세리눅스eval버전을 보고 콘솔이 이쁘다는 이유만으로
수세리눅스8.1버전을 네트워크설치했습니다. 무려4시간동안요

그래픽로그온으로 자동kdm이 뜹니다. 원하는 바가 아니지만 ...
root로 로그온을 하면 한글입력이 안됩니다.
다른 계정으로 로그온 하면 작업표시줄의 시계옆에 아미가 떠 있거든요.
그래서 한글을 입력할 수 는 있거든요.
근데 왜 root계정으로 로그온 하면 한글입력이 안되는 걸까요?
shift+space누르면 그냥 스페이스바 누른것 처럼 한칸 옮겨갑니다.
미치겠어요. 다른 파티션 마운트가 루트밖에 안되게 되어있네요...
꼭 해결법을 가르쳐주세요.

한가지 더 물어볼께 있는데요 한글을 입력할때 입력하는 과정이 보이지않
아 무지 불편하거든요.
입력하고 스페이스바나 엔터키를 입력해야 쭈-욱 뜨거든요. 요거 해결이
안될까요?
