RS232포트를 직접 (어셈블러로) 컨트롤 하는데 이상한 문제가 있습니다. 도와주세요ㅠㅠ

일단 XP에서 다음의 방식으로 RS232포트를 억세스해서 UART로 들어오는 신호를 읽고 있습니다.
그런데 다음의 코드가(물론 드라이버로 올렸으며 outportb와 같은 함수는 없기에 적절한 함수로 제가 만들었습니다.
out dx, ...와 같은 형식으로) 텔넷을 띄우고서는 정상동작을 하는데 혼자 돌리면 LSR(lineStatusRegister)가 0xFF가 나오면서
동작을 안합니다. 먼저 읽기만 실험해 봤습니다. 뭐가 문제인지요... 또는 설정 부분에서 빠진 부분이 있나요???
